Rare and highly distinctive armchair model “Neapel”, designed by Stefano Tongiani for IKEA, circa 1972.
This sculptural lounge chair is upholstered in cognac-colored leather and represents an early period of IKEA production when the company collaborated with international designers and produced furniture with strong continental character.
The design features a bold, brutalist silhouette with generous proportions, low seating height and an unmistakably Italian 1970s expression — far removed from later modular IKEA designs.

The armchair is in very good vintage condition, with a beautiful natural patina consistent with age and use.
The elastic webbing in the seat has been replaced, ensuring excellent comfort and structural integrity.
