Each tray features Höglund’s characteristic figurative reliefs – a motif language rooted in folk art, symbolism and playful abstraction.
Erik Höglund (1932–1998) is regarded as one of the most influential Swedish glass artists of the mid-century era. At Boda he developed a new expression within Scandinavian glass: more raw, tactile, emotional and sculptural, often deliberately contrasting the traditional refined crystal aesthetics of the time. His works are today highly sought after by international collectors.
