Set of three rectangular art glass trays designed by Erik Höglund for Boda Glasbruk, Sweden, 1960s. Beautiful colour palette in cobalt blue, petrol blue and deep forest green. Each tray features Höglund’s characteristic figurative reliefs – a motif language rooted in folk art, symbolism and playful abstraction.
Erik Höglund (1932–1998) is regarded as one of the most influential Swedish glass artists of the mid-century era. At Boda he developed a new expression within Scandinavian glass: more raw, tactile, emotional and sculptural, often deliberately contrasting the traditional refined crystal aesthetics of the time. His works are today highly sought after by international collectors.
